Parable of the Good Capitalist

A businessman was going down from the Upper East Side to Wall Street, when he fell among regulators and tax collectors, who stripped him–taking his billfold, his Rolex, and his cufflinks, then departed–leaving him penniless.

Now by chance a Democrat was going down that road, and when he saw him he fined the businessman for lying on the sidewalk without a permit. So likewise a community activist, when he came to the place and saw him, shouted: “Serves him right! He’s the 1%!”

But a capitalist, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, apprehended the assailants and restored the man’s belongings.

Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the businessman who fell among regulators and tax collectors?
