The linked Wikipedia article said, "Half the guards are women and guards are typically unarmed because guns "[create] unnecessary intimidation and social distance". Prisoners receive questionnaires that ask how their prison experience can be improved."
How can the prisoners be expected to live under such heinous conditions?!
(On a more serious note, it's pretty scary for those female guards who aren't even given the ability to protect themselves with personal protection weapons, though.)

That is so shameful that they have female prison guards ruling over the male inmates. For me that would be the worst and most humiliating punishment.
