Abstinence-only sex ed

In the bottomless cornucopia of disingenuous attacks on Sarah Palin is the charge that she’s hypocritical since she supports abstinence-only sex ed even though her unwed daughter became pregnant.

At the risk of stating the obvious, what about all the out-of-wedlock teen pregnancies involving the children of liberal politicians, social workers, and teachers because their own kids fail to practice safe sex?

  1. I'd have to agree with you on this one. First of all, it was her daughter, not her.

Not only that, but whatever she did, she couldn't win on this one: if she kicked her daughter of the house, she'd be castigated for being too severe and "judgmental". If she supported her, she's a "hypocrite".

There are enough issues with Palin to critique without bringing her daughter's lapse of judgment into the mix.

  2. Because most liberal politicians are Catholics.

  3. Also...

Bristol went to public school and did not get "abstinence only" sex ed. She got the standard public school fare.

Perhaps if she had gotten "abstinence only", abstinence would have worked.
